Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to lead our operations in Libya. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of SIDEM's business activities in the country, including project management, business development, and stakeholder relations.

As Country Manager for Libya, your responsibilities will include:

1. Develop and implement strategic plans to expand SIDEM's presence in the Libyan market.
2. Oversee the execution of desalination projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
3. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, partners, and clients.
4. Identify new business opportunities and lead the preparation of proposals and tenders.
5. Manage the financial performance of the Libyan operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
6. Ensure compliance with local regulations, company policies, and international standards.
7. Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
8. Collaborate with other regional directors and the global leadership team to share best practices and drive company-wide initiatives.

Qualifications

You have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the water treatment or desalination industry, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

You also have a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects in Libya or similar markets.

You have a strong understanding of the Libyan business environment, including local regulations and cultural nuances, along with excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

You are fluent in English; knowledge of French and/or Arabic is a plus.

Additionally, you have demonstrated the ability to build and maintain relationships with high-level stakeholders, along with strong financial acumen and experience in managing budgets and P&L statements.
