Qualifications

Description du poste

6-month fixed-term contract with the possibility of prolongation! Nexway is a global e-commerce provider with French origins and an eleven-year history. As part of a 6 to 18 months activity reinforcement, as Junior Legal Counsel, you will ensure the company's legal and regulatory compliance by providing expert advice and support on legal and data privacy issues, including GDPR.

Process Implementation: Collaborate with management to implement new legal processes that enhance operational efficiency and ensure compliance with updated regulatory standards; support the development, implementation, and ongoing monitoring of the company’s GDPR compliance program.

Contractual Compliance: Draft, review, and negotiate Data Processing Agreements (DPA), Cross-Border Data Transfer Clauses (CCT), and all GDPR-related articles in contracts to ensure data privacy compliance.

GDPR Expertise: Serve as the go-to expert on GDPR, advising internal teams and providing guidance on data privacy topics to ensure alignment with regulatory standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in law (Master 2 Droit des Affaires / DJCE / Magistère / Droit du Numérique)
  • Approximately 2+ years in IT contract law and commercial law, ideally in the payment ecosystem or fintech
  • Solid knowledge of IT contract law, commercial law, and data privacy regulation
  • Fluent in French and English (written and oral)

This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to implement effective processes, draft and negotiate contracts, and ensure GDPR compliance, all while protecting the company's interests.
