The role:
Join a team managing the expansion, fit-out, and launch of state-of-the-art Fulfillment Centers (FCs) across Europe, supporting Amazon's growth and customer service excellence. The position is based in France, with 50% travel across EMEA countries. As an experienced Project Manager, you will oversee project timelines, budgets, and stakeholder coordination to ensure successful FC launches and support the expansion of Amazon's European fulfillment network. You will lead and mentor cross-functional teams, manage risks, and drive standardization initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing CAPEX projects for fulfillment operations
  • End-to-end project deliverables ownership
  • Scheduling, resource planning, and schedule optimization
  • Collaborating with construction, engineering, operations, finance, procurement, and legal teams
  • Coordinating vendor schedules and procurement processes
  • Tracking project status and communicating risks and issues
  • Working independently in a dynamic environment

A typical day: You will develop and execute business cases for operational FCs, coordinate stakeholders, and oversee site development from greenfield to operational status, celebrating project successes.

About the team: The EU Startup team comprises project and program managers dedicated to building complex FCs efficiently, valuing work-life balance and supporting team development to meet ambitious timelines and budgets.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant fields
  • Fluency in English and French
  • Experience in project management and infrastructure projects
  • Leadership and team management skills
  • Budget management experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and MS Project
  • Basic CAD software experience

Preferred qualifications:

  • Strong influencing, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Experience with technical equipment installation and operations ramp-up
  • Knowledge of material handling equipment and BIM/CAD software
  • Process and supply chain optimization experience
  • Project Management certifications (PMP, Prince2)
  • Experience launching large logistics facilities
  • Additional language skills (German, Polish, Portuguese, Arabic, Turkish, Afrikaans, Zulu) are a plus
