Job Description

The Hallmark Company is currently hiring a dynamic Maintenance Technician responsible for performing repairs, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance of all apartment equipment, including appliances, electrical systems, and plumbing. The technician maintains and improves the operating condition, quality, and integrity of all building systems and appearances. Must have own tools.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Performs repairs, troubleshoots systems, and completes preventative maintenance, adhering to standardized diagnostic approaches.
2. Possesses knowledge and tools to perform on-site repairs on HVAC systems, appliances, water heaters, electrical and plumbing systems, and other equipment.
3. Available for emergency maintenance calls 24/7 when scheduled.
4. Assists in training Groundskeepers and entry-level Maintenance Technicians.
5. Troubleshoots property systems and oversees repairs.
6. Conducts maintenance inspections, including building and alarm systems, and prepares property for regulatory inspections.
7. Performs preventive maintenance such as winterizing facilities, inspecting HVAC systems, maintaining pool equipment and chemical balance, and turning off lights/HVAC in vacant units daily.
8. Inspects vacant units, ensures turnovers, and performs painting as needed.
9. Inspects subcontractors' work, documents quality and completion.
10. Walks grounds and interior areas daily, removing litter and debris.
11. Removes snow and ice from sidewalks, walkways, steps, and driveways.
12. Attends and completes required training.
13. Performs repairs as directed and maintains proper records of maintenance requests and inventory.
14. Capable of moving heavy equipment safely using proper tools.
15. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Work Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years maintenance experience or equivalent education and experience.
• HVAC and/or EPA certification.
• Previous experience in multifamily housing.
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification.

Work Location: In person at one location

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Schedule

• 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday
• On call, occasional overtime, and weekends as needed
