We’re looking for a Senior IT Support Technician M / F to join our team in Rungis, France on a permanent contract. (This role will require regular travel to our other head office locations in France, including Graveson and Combs-la-Ville).

As a Senior IT Support Technician at Westfalia Fruit, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional technical support to both internal teams and external partners. You'll be the go-to expert for resolving IT issues, maintaining the smooth operation of systems and networks, and ensuring minimal disruption to daily business activities. In this dynamic role, you'll lead incident management efforts, oversee equipment maintenance, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of our IT infrastructure and support processes.

Responsibilities include :

  • Deliver prompt and effective technical support to users via phone, email, and in person.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment, including desktops, printers, Zebra MC33 handheld devices, and Android tablets.
  • Oversee and maintain accurate IT hardware inventory in coordination with the finance department.
  • Monitor and optimise system and network performance to ensure high availability and security.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in compliance with IT governance policies.
  • Collaborate with the wider IT team to improve infrastructure resilience and cybersecurity.
  • Provide user training and support to promote effective use of IT systems and adherence to best practices.
  • Develop, maintain, and update comprehensive technical documentation and support procedures.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of IT infrastructure upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in IT Support ideally in the industrial sector.
  • Fluency in French and English (professional).
  • Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft Office and the Office 365 suite.
  • Solid expertise in Windows Server and Workstation environments, including Entra ID, Intune, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and Endpoint Protection.
  • Hands-on experience with computer networking, including configuration and troubleshooting of switches, routers, firewalls (FortiGate), and wireless networks.
  • Familiarity with video surveillance systems, particularly Milestone and Hikvision platforms.
  • Working knowledge of access control software, especially Optima.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a strong ability to deliver effective and user-focused technical support.
  • Familiarity with Alcatel telephony systems.
  • Experience in the food industry or fresh produce sector is an advantage, though not essential.
  • Ideally holds a Bac +2 qualification (or equivalent) in IT support or a related field.
