We are seeking a highly skilled a Country Manager who will drive local development, lead a high-performing team, and implement the company’s ambitious commercial strategy in the region.

In this position, your main responsibility will be to build and manage a highly effective team capable of achieving the sales, financial and marketing objectives set by the CEO.

You will also be responsible for creating and executing marketing strategies in collaboration with head office to increase brand recognition and value in the French market.

Objective of the Role and Key Responsibilities

  • Build and lead a high-performing team capable of achieving the sales, marketing, and financial objectives
  • Develop and implement effective marketing strategies in coordination with the headquarters to increase brand awareness and market penetration across France
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and stakeholders to enhance satisfaction and loyalty
  • Monitor and manage key financial metrics including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow to ensure long-term profitability
  • Use strong negotiation and commercial skills to create and maintain strategic partnerships
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and distribution channels to expand market presence
  • Ensure a positive and motivating work environment, maximizing team engagement and performance
  • Demonstrate proficiency in essential IT tools: Navision, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and online platforms

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Economics, Business, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in Sales, Marketing, and General Management, ideally within the pet food or FMCG industry
  • Solid understanding of the French market and distribution landscape
  • Proven leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and influence cross-functional teams
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of developing and executing effective growth strategies
  • Cultural sensitivity and adaptability to work across diverse teams and geographies
  • Time management and organizational skills

Languages: French and English Fluent

Place of work: Paris (on-site); extensive travelling will be required
