Our client provides a diverse range of high-tech analytical instruments, from elemental analysis to mass spectrometry, for applications in industrial process control and R&D.

Their customers rely on them for accurate and reliable results throughout the lifespan of their analytical systems. They support their growth by offering high-quality solutions featuring the latest technological advances, along with fast, efficient, and professional service and technical support. They handle the sales and maintenance of all their devices in France, French-speaking Belgium, and Luxembourg.

To strengthen their field technical team—particularly for their range of mass spectrometers—they are looking for a dynamic and motivated Field Service Engineer for weekly travel across France.

Your mission :

After an internal training period in Europe and / or the United States, you will work directly on the instruments at client sites. You will be responsible for installations, training sessions, as well as preventive and corrective maintenance. You will primarily work on the range of mass spectrometers. Thanks to your technical background and training, you may occasionally assist clients with their methods and analytical issues.

Based in the Lyon region working from a home office, you will travel throughout France to service mass spectrometry instruments, with the goal of becoming the go-to expert for this product range.

Your profile :

• You hold a degree in analytical chemistry, electronics, physical measurements, or chemistry, with a good command of IT tools.
• Ideally, you have initial experience in field service engineering.
• It is essential that you are familiar with gas chromatography and mass spectrometry, and have hands-on experience with these instruments.
• You have strong interpersonal and teamwork skills. You are organised, meticulous, adaptable, and value autonomy in your work.
• You can speak, understand, and write English at a professional level.
• This is a permanent position (CDI) that involves frequent travel throughout France, so a valid driver's license is required.
