Job Description:

Our client, a hard rock mining operation in North Africa, is seeking a Chief Operating Officer to enhance and develop business processes.

The mine is operational and profitable. The owners aim to further improve processes and align with international standards.

The COO will report to the CEO and oversee all operational aspects of the mine. The Site Director, responsible for daily mining activities, will report to this role.

This is a strategic role focusing on overall effectiveness, efficiency, and process improvement. The ideal candidate has experience managing mines for international or listed companies and can bring those standards to the operation.

Requirements:

• A degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, Metallurgy, or related field
• Extensive experience leading mining operations within international or listed companies
• Hard rock mining experience preferred
• Proven ability to implement new standards and processes while maintaining engagement and performance
• Proficiency in English and French
• Willingness to work rotationally in North Africa
