Description du poste

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing new prospects and interacting with assigned security integrator customers to increase sales and margins of the company's products and/or services. Your primary focus will be face-to-face selling and account management activities to meet sales revenue goals by assessing customer needs and suggesting appropriate products, services, and solutions, ensuring a smooth sales process.

A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required. The BDM will engage with all levels of the customer’s organization, including technical, operations, supply chain, and executive management. This position may also involve developing and delivering sales bids, presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Selling electronic security solutions (Intruder Detection, CCTV, Access Control, IoT, and Pro-AV) across a defined geographical territory.
  2. Developing both new and existing businesses with targeted accounts.
  3. Building partnerships across Wesco-Anixters Business Units and working internally as part of a fast-paced sales team.
  4. Meeting or exceeding revenue and margin targets, driving recurring revenue sales, and developing a pipeline of opportunities using CRM.
  5. Executing and expanding assigned customer account plans developed in conjunction with management.
  6. Having a good understanding of electronic security products, including Intruder Detection, Access Control, and IP CCTV systems.
  7. Possessing detailed networking and infrastructure knowledge of security systems and products (preferred).
  8. Managing territory effectively with strong sales planning skills.
  9. Implementing billing margin initiatives through value-added services, marketing programs, and supplier engagement.
  10. Prospecting potential customers, including cold calling and developing leads through referrals.
  11. Communicating with customers to identify needs and suggesting suitable products and services.
  12. Demonstrating product functions and utility based on customer needs.
  13. Ensuring customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolving post-sale issues.
  14. Maintaining communication with existing and previous customers about new products and services.
  15. Utilizing sales management tools for planning and documenting opportunities.
  16. Developing product knowledge through training.
  17. Building strong relationships with suppliers, including joint sales calls.
  18. Providing quotations directly or with support team assistance.

Experience:

  • High School Degree or Equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Three to five years of outside sales experience required.
  • Four years of industry experience preferred.
  • Ability to travel to clients and suppliers.
  • Flexibility for occasional overnight travel.
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques (preferred).
  • Ability to travel 50%-75%.
