Job Description:

CATEGORY BUYER – RAW MATERIALS M/F

Join EUROAPI’s Procurement team to enable efficiencies without compromising integrity and ethics. You will build relationships with suppliers to ensure a steady supply of quality products, contributing to our environmental commitments, procurement excellence, and inventory management.

Are you an experienced buyer from the chemical or pharmaceutical industries seeking your next challenge? We offer a permanent role as a Category Buyer – Raw Materials (M/F).

You will collaborate with the Head of Direct Spend Procurement and other buyers to develop sourcing strategies. This position can be based in Paris, Elbeuf, or Vertolaye.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Strategy and Cost Improvement: Understand spend categories, achieve savings, support budget development, and drive Cost Improvement Programs (CIPs). Promote multi-sourcing, share CIPs across sites, and anticipate market trends.
2. Operations: Develop budgets, lead negotiations, optimize processes, measure KPIs, develop market opportunities, and manage supplier relationships and performance.
3. Business Partnering: Foster networking, act as procurement contact for sites, attend meetings, and collaborate with sales and development teams to innovate solutions.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years in procurement, influencing suppliers and stakeholders, leading impactful sourcing projects.
• Experience in a mature, strategic procurement environment, preferably in chemical or pharmaceutical industries with scientific background (MSc in chemistry, biology, or pharma).
• Fluent in French and English.
• Strong negotiation, interpersonal, communication skills, and adaptability.
• Results-oriented with analytical skills and a creative mindset for innovation.
