Position Overview
The mission of The Consumer Goods Forum (CGF) is to bring together consumer goods manufacturers and retailers globally, in pursuit of business efficiency and positive societal change. The Consumer Goods Forum is hiring a Manager within its Health & Sustainability department. This covers its Coalitions of Action on Healthier Lives, Food Loss & Waste and working Towards Net Zero. The key focus for this role will be on food loss and waste prevention and reduction with a view to connecting it’s people and planet agendas.
The Manager’s role will be to work on the delivery of coalition objectives and CGF-wide priorities:
- Overseeing the delivery of the strategic goals of the Food Waste Coalition of Action with members and external partners
- Management, implementation and further development of the strategic goals of the Food Waste Coalition with members of the Coalition’s steering committee and working groups
- Support and build the Coalition’s stakeholder engagement roadmap (CGF members, Coalition co-chairs and CEO co-sponsors, external organisations)
- Virtual and in-person event planning and facilitation
- Supporting communication to prospects, members and stakeholders
The Manager, Health & Sustainability, will work primarily in English. Professional knowledge of other languages is a plus.
This is a full-time permanent position based in the CGF headquarters (Paris area). The candidate is expected to travel a maximum of 20%.
The Manager, will report to the Health & Sustainability Director, and will work with an Officer, Health & Sustainability.

Responsibilities
Strategy & Governance – Management of Coalition activities
- Ongoing management of the projects – ensuring the successful governance and delivery of the coalition activities with project partners
- Day to day management of project's and relationship with consultants and pro-bono support
- Managing externally funded projects and reporting requirements (e.g. UNEP, WRAP)
- Manage with the Director the Food Waste Coalition’s steering committee and working groups, contribute to the liaison with the CGF Board
- Identify, implement and maintain strategic partnerships with implementation partners (World Resources Institute, WRAP, WWF, among others)
- Evaluate coalitions’ impact and monitor progress through members’ reporting on an annual basis
- Support the Global & Local coordination with CGF regional offices of the delivery of the Food Waste Coalition’s objectives
- Analyse the impact of industry challenges and issues on coalition activities.
- Member and Stakeholder Engagement Prepare and manage working groups and stakeholder engagement activities (e.g., organisation of meetings, conference calls and webinars)
- Facilitate and moderate in-person meetings and conference calls
- Prepare meeting briefings, project proposals, agendas, toolkits and presentations
- Brief and onboard coalition prospects
Communication support
- Implement and further develop the communications strategy of the Food Waste Coalition. Ensure that it is connect with the overarching CGF People and Planet agenda
- Be a key advocate for cross coalition fertilisation when possible
- Collaborate with the communications department to develop communications and marketing material (online and print) to promote CGF initiatives to member companies and non-member organisations (e.g. stakeholders)
Team work & cross-initiative collaboration
- Bridge the links between our Healthier Lives, Food Waste & Towards Net Zero initiatives on joint opportunities for cross-coalition projects
- Collaborate and support other projects of the CGF (when relevant)
- Actively contribute to the preparation and delivery of relevant CGF events, e.g., the Sustainable Retail Summit (SRS)
Administrative support
- Ensure the CRM database (Salesforce) is up to date
- Support the Director to ensure the Food Waste Coalition budget (income and expenses) is up to date
Requirements
- Graduate degree in Environment or Political Science: Health/ Sustainability / Business / Environment related fields (equivalent to Master’s degree)
- 3-5 years of experience in CSR / ESG / Health or Sustainability project management, preferably in an industry environment
- General understanding of business on an international level and of environmental sustainability issues and trends particularly within FMCG
- Familiar with supply chain and sourcing issues and approaches
- Meticulous, organizational skills, rigorous and attention to detail
- Experience of working within a client services environment, service-oriented and positive mindset
- Excellent project and programme management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that tight deadlines are met
- Self-motivated and autonomous and at ease with changing priorities
- Pro-active positive work attitude, team player with strong intercultural skills
- Embrace the CGF CARE values
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, French would be a plus
- Excellent command of MS pack office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- IT literate – Google Workspace/Internet/Salesforce.
