Description du poste

PM EMEA & APAC Business Area: 80 sites in 22 countries - 3700 employees - €1.2b revenue. Capex ca 70 M€ per year. The E&A Engineer is a member of the Center of Expertise team (CoE) of the BA. He supports the industrial project managers by leading the electrical & automation engineering part of the projects.

Expert in his field

Safety referent for electrical standards

Leads several projects in parallel within diverse teams across the BA.

Travels: up to 40% in Europe for energy assessments.

Location: any Imerys location in Europe, preferably close to transportation facilities.

Responsibilities:

1. Define electrical & automation design of projects under the responsibility of the project manager.
2. Help the project manager establish the project cost estimate for the electrical and automation part.
3. Ensure design is compliant with Imerys standards, safety protocols, local regulations and local requirements/constraints.
4. Ensure design is always optimized in terms of safety, operability, scheduling, long-term evolution and costs.
5. Establish technical scopes and specifications to fulfill project requirements, participate in the procurement phase together with the purchasing team.
6. Analyze and assess technical offers, provide recommendations on supplier’s selection.
7. Manage project execution, follow on-site works, lead reviews, Factory and Site Acceptance Tests.
8. Lead commissioning phases of the electrical and automation part together with local teams.
9. Manage costs against project budget in alignment with the project manager.
10. Provide feedback, reports and ad hoc documentation.
11. Train local teams.

Key interfaces: BA CoE, BA operations, IT, Purchasing, EHS, contractors.

Accountability:

1. Safety on all projects under his/her responsibility.
2. Compliance to electrical standards.
3. Project delivery on time, in budget, at expected performance.

Qualifications:

1. Electrical engineering background.
2. High knowledge in Industrial automation systems - 4.0 skills would be a plus.
3. High knowledge in electrical codes and standards.
4. Comfortable in a multinational environment.
5. Continuous Improvement mindset - Focused on targets - Flexible - Team player.

Languages: Fluent spoken and written English + another language.

Ideal background / experience:

1. Electrical / Automation projects at medium / small scale.
2. 10 years of experience managing automation and electrical engineering activities in an industrial environment.
