tarte cosmetics is seeking a talented & strategic PR & Social Media Manager of international markets to join our team! The PR & Social Media Manager will be responsible for developing & driving the international PR & social media programs for all launches/activations as well as for the long-term brand awareness strategy. This role is highly collaborative & will report directly to the International Marketing Director, with support from Social Media Coordinators owning 1 direct report and 2 dot line reports. Our ideal candidate is beauty-obsessed with a proactive team player attitude, excellent communication & writing skills & is a multi-tasker that will meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  1. Public Relations (PR):
  • Building relationships with journalists, bloggers, and influencers, using those relationships to create opportunities for brand exposure and coverage.
  • Monitor media coverage and leverage insights for strategic brand positioning.
  • Plan and execute PR activations such as influencer events, trips, product launches, or media desksides to drive buzz.
  • Partner with Sephora & local retailers for multi-brand PR events and in-store activations.
  • Develop innovative PR strategies and out-of-the-box brand awareness opportunities to maintain a strong & positive image.
  1. Social Media:
  • Create social media timelines, proposals for tarte content on Sephora's local channels and ensure exposures on retailer channels.
  • Curate and localize content that resonates with each market, driving community engagement.
  • Communicate the international team’s content needs and partner with internal Content Creators and the Content/Video team to bring content to life.
  • Analyze community feedback and insights to inform marketing and PR strategies.
  • Develop creative campaigns and initiatives to support seasonal launches.
  • Ensure all content aligns with the company's brand voice and messaging.
  • Stay on top of the latest social media trends and create opportunity proposals.
  1. Collaboration:
  • Work closely with local and international collaborators across markets.
  • Collaborate with external partners, agencies, and stakeholders on PR and community initiatives.
  1. Measurement and Reporting:
  • Track and analyze PR and community metrics such as media mentions, social media engagement, and sentiment analysis.
  • Provide regular reports on the effectiveness of PR and community initiatives and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Compile weekly, monthly, and quarterly PR and social media reports.

Requirements:

  • Work out of tarte’s Paris office.
  • Fluent in English and French highly recommended.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Marketing, PR, or Communications.
  • 5+ years of experience in PR & social media marketing, ideally at a PR agency or within a fast-growing brand.
  • Must have an active personal or professional social media presence with a strong following.
  • Comfortable on-camera & experienced in creating engaging, trend-driven content.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing successful PR & influencer strategies.
  • People management experience with 1+ direct reports.
  • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment & meet changing deadlines on multiple projects.
  • Works well under pressure & has a flexible & positive attitude.
  • In-depth understanding of relevant & upcoming social media trends.
  • Excellent verbal, communication & writing skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Up to date on relevant cultural events.
  • Passionate about beauty & the cosmetics industry (experience in beauty is a plus!).
