We are looking for a Strategic Purchaser for our site in Surgères, or alternatively at our French headquarters in Mulhouse.

Responsibilities include:

1. Formalizing and engaging purchase contracts, including handling non-conformities.
2. Negotiating purchase terms, prices, deadlines, incoterms, and quality costs.
3. Evaluating and validating supplier management systems against Wärtsilä's standards.
4. Developing technical-commercial consultations, analyzing offers, establishing investment budgets, and selecting partners.
5. Maintaining purchasing data in ERP systems like SAP, executing RFQs and sales orders, and collaborating with the pricing team.
6. Participating in strategic reviews of categories and mobilizing category managers as needed.
7. Participating in supplier audits and evaluations.
8. Ensuring suppliers can meet current and future needs, managing obsolescence, and developing alternative sourcing strategies.
9. Analyzing KPIs and supplier data to improve and strengthen the supplier network.

Candidate profile:

1. Higher education with a specialization in purchasing.
2. Experience in the industrial sector.
3. Ability to analyze offers and negotiate effectively.
4. Autonomy and rigor.
5. Knowledge of ERP systems like SAP and data analysis tools such as PowerBI.
6. Fluent in English.

French role specifics:

• Position: Acheteur Stratégique at Surgères or Mulhouse.
• Responsibilities include formalizing contracts, negotiating terms, evaluating suppliers, and maintaining data in SAP.
• Requirements: Higher education in purchasing, experience in industry, negotiation skills, autonomy, SAP and PowerBI knowledge, fluent French and English.
