Product Application Engineer - Europe (Spain, Germany, France or Poland), Chinese speaking

Your Responsibilities

• Represent GKN Engineering to the customer for assigned programs, under the guidance of the Application Engineering Manager, while promoting GKN’s brand and technological capabilities.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with customer engineering teams.
• Ensure timely delivery of engineering milestones in collaboration with the Engineering Programme Manager; escalate issues when needed.
• Provide engineering support to facilitate change management processes, including generating VAVE ideas to drive cost savings.
• Assist Product Launch, Site Engineering, and Operations teams during product industrialization.
• Support Customer Development Income (CDI) recovery by preparing and delivering engineering documentation as directed.
• Collaborate with Programme Engineering to develop Design FMEAs (DFMEA) and support reviews with the plant quality team prior to product launch.

Your Profile

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Business-level proficiency in English and Chinese.
• Experience in project or program management environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a structured, analytical approach.
• Knowledge of design-specific safety standards.
• Understanding of customer milestone delivery requirements.
