YOUR ROLE

As a Drydock Project Manager, you are responsible for the planning and execution of drydocks projects for our fleet of vessels. To do so, you must:

  • Comply with IMS and all relevant international rules and regulations
  • Ensure all your duties in accordance with quality, health, safety, environmental, and ethics policies
  • Propose a continuous performance improvement plan which will be reported and reviewed on a periodical basis


WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Manage the drydock projects:

  • Planning
  • In collaboration with the Fleet department, create and update drydock standard specifications
  • Prepare annual budget, with the Fleet Superintendent
  • Define project scope and specifications
  • Monitor project engineering and drawing issuance
  • Check Purchase Orders for the project
  • Provide technical advice to procurement during supplier negotiation and selection
  • Plan and perform kick-off meetings.


Execution:

  • Liaise between all interested parties to monitor execution of the project (drydock or afloat repairs, class renewals, retrofits, and new equipment installation)
  • Manage deviations from the initial specification
  • Monitor project expenditures and approve invoices up to the limit of your authorization
  • Monitor project status (progress and quality) and take necessary actions, in liaison with the site office
  • Perform annual reviews with the yard and suppliers, including review of claim status.

Close-out and hand-over:

  • Perform hand-over and closing meetings
  • Perform project close-out (close contracts, compile final reports and documentation)

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Graduated with a Master's degree in Engineering or Naval Architecture
  • Have a first technical experience in the shipping industry
  • Proficient with software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Possess project management and analytical skills
