Harmattan AI in France seeks a skilled engineer to join the Tooling team, bringing drone physical models—aerodynamics, propulsion, electronics, sensors—into the simulator. You will translate user needs into model interfaces and validate behavior in the software stack.

You will define fidelity targets, balance realism with performance, and document models and validation results to support mission-critical autonomous defense systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in software engineering, simulation, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of flight dynamics and relevant physics.
• Experience integrating third-party models into large software systems.
• Proficient in C++ and Python; Linux experience.
• MSc or BSc in a technical field; equivalent experience valued.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate with domain experts across aerodynamics, propulsion, electronics, sensors, and electromechanical systems.
• Model integration into the simulator software stack with clean interfaces and configurable parameters.
• Define and run tests comparing integrated models against reference data and report discrepancies.
• Balance fidelity, performance, and integration effort; prioritise model integration work.
• Document the integrated models, parameters, validity domains, and validation results.
