Harmattan AI in Paris is seeking a Signal Processing Engineer to join the Tooling team, translating physical drone models into the simulator, integrating models, and validating behavior.

You will work at the intersection of physics, software engineering, and AI robotics, collaborating with GNC, ML, Embedded Software, and Validation to set fidelity targets and ensure rigorous validation using real test data.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering, simulation or related field.
• Good understanding of flight dynamics or physics to discuss models with domain experts.
• Experience integrating third-party models into a larger software system and validating with data.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate with domain experts in aerodynamics, propulsion, electronics, sensors, and electromechanical systems.
• Integrate models into the simulator software stack with clear interfaces and configurable parameters.
• Define and run tests to validate models against reference data and report discrepancies.
• Translate user needs into fidelity targets for each model, balancing realism, performance and integration effort.
• Document models, parameters, validity domains, and validation results; help standardize processes.
