Location: University of Rennes (France) at the Institut des Sciences Chimiques de Rennes (ISCR), in the Team Organometallics, Materials and Catalysis (OMC)
Expected Starting Date: 01/10/2025, funded for 36 months by the University of Rennes and the Brittany Region.

The project plans to explore the catalytic activity and chemistry of iron complexes stabilised by ligand systems capable of reversibly storing electrons (redox-active ligands). Transformations such as cycloadditions, (hydro)elementations and the downstream functionalisation of the resulting products will be investigated. A special focus will also be given to para-hydrogen induced polarisation techniques, in collaboration with the Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany. Our research group is located at the Institute of Chemical Sciences of Rennes, part of the Organometallics, Materials and Catalysis Team. The group has access to all the basic research infrastructure for synthesising and handling very sensitive species including Schlenk lines, Glove box, walk-in access to NMR spectrometers, Cyclic Voltammetry equipment, Photoreactors as well as standard equipment for conducting organic synthesis. Moreover, access to the Institute’s Instrument Facilities (X-ray diffractometer, EPR Spectrometer, SQUID Magnetometer) as well as access to high-performance computers (HPC) for computational chemistry is guaranteed.
