Inserm U1242 Oncogenesis, Stress, Signaling in Rennes offers a 5–6 month internship starting Jan 2027 to explore DNA origami-based control of protein kinase assemblies. The project combines chemical biology, structural biology and molecular biology skills.

The successful candidate will express and purify proteins, assemble DNA origami scaffolds and validate structures with AFM/CryoEM while evaluating enzymatic activities using standard assays.

Qualifications

• Background in chemical biology, biochemistry, biophysics, molecular biology, or life sciences.
• Applicant should be a motivated student pursuing higher education.
• Eligibility for a PhD-focused internship is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Expressing, purifying and functionalizing the protein kinase N-terminus.
• Assembling and purifying DNA origami structures.
• Bioconjugating proteins on the DNA origami using DNA hybridization.
