Role Purpose:
The role holder will lead the development and implementation of its Europe distribution strategy, working closely with relevant stakeholders.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of the Europe distribution strategy.
- Act as the service owner for broker oversight and onboarding services provided by Lloyd’s, managing stakeholder relationships to ensure delivery and resolve issues.
- Coordinate onboarding projects of strategic domestic brokers and serve as the key point of contact, introducing and facilitating interactions with Velonetic and other key stakeholders in Lloyd’s ecosystem.
- Liaise with LIC Corporate and Legal and Lloyd’s Broker Oversight teams to ensure compliance with IDD regulations and other regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and update collateral materials related to broker and coverholder onboarding, and guides to support market understanding and value proposition.
- Deliver the Lloyd’s Europe Broker Academy and regional boot camps to increase awareness of Lloyd’s for external stakeholders.
- Gather feedback to define satisfaction and engagement indicators with strategic domestic brokers and track progress.
- Disseminate relevant information and content for Lloyd’s Europe brokers, including events, underwriting strategy, and appetite.
- Identify and address business blockers or barriers to doing business with Lloyd’s Europe, proposing solutions.
- Support the Europe Market Development team in horizon scanning and reporting on local trends and promising brokers/MGAs.

- Knowledge of Lloyd’s market structure.
- Knowledge of UK & European insurance markets and regulators.
- Knowledge of IDD and European distribution requirements.
- Awareness of marketing and communication strategies.
- Strong business acumen.
- IT literacy and ability to learn new software solutions.
- Data analysis skills (e.g., Excel, Qlik).
Experience:
- Experience in the insurance/reinsurance industry in roles related to business development, strategy, management consulting, underwriting, or reinsurance.
- Proven track record in delivering objectives in European markets.
- Experience influencing stakeholders at senior levels and developing business relationships.
- Experience working collaboratively in teams and with diverse cultural backgrounds.
