Operations

On the operational side, you are expected to take ownership of the operations by taking full responsibility for everything within the department, ensuring all dishes and cutlery are washed, disinfected, and polished for reuse, managing stocks of equipment to ensure a continuous flow, ensuring processes are as efficient as possible, and empowering team members to identify and resolve operational issues. You will be expected to bring concerns to management’s attention and make recommendations to address them, forecast needs or problems that may arise, and have action plans in place to avoid production disruptions. You will also need to coordinate between departments to ensure appropriate service is provided, and be involved hands-on to maintain continuous operations.

Safety and Quality

Safety is the responsibility of all employees at Newrest. Therefore, in this position, you will ensure all processes conform to customer and company specifications, comply with food safety protocols, enforce safety processes, and document incidents or accidents thoroughly.

Perfil

The ideal candidate should possess the following:

• High School Diploma; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing, the food industry, or restaurant dishwashing roles managing hourly employees
• Experience in start-up or turnaround environments is highly preferred
• Strong leadership skills, especially in holding others accountable and maintaining an organized, engaged team
• Ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines
• Good understanding of hygiene and HACCP standards
• Attention to detail with the ability to see the big picture
