Job summary

Kandou is seeking a Director of Silicon Characterization in Saint-Sulpice, Switzerland, to own the characterization strategy for multiple product programs from first silicon through validation closure. The role drives validation plans, schedules, and resource allocation while coordinating across sites and with external partners.

You will lead development of scripts and automation for IC validation, ensure timely bring-up and debugging, and define evaluation boards for lab validation and customer

Qualifications

• Proven experience in silicon bring-up, validation, and characterization for ICs.
• Ability to translate product specs into structured test plans and milestones.
• Collaborative work with analog, digital, DfT, product, and applications teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the silicon characterization strategy and execution across product programs, from first silicon to release readiness.
• Lead validation plans, schedules, resource allocation, and execution tracking across projects and sites.
• Oversee scripts, automation frameworks, and program infrastructure for IC validation and ATE interfacing.
• Ensure timely silicon bring-up, debug, validation, and characterization for SerDes-based and other high-speed products.
• Define and review evaluation boards and reference hardware for lab validation and customer enablement.
• Support customer demos, technical evaluations, and issue resolution involving silicon, EVMs, and validation data.
• Co-own validation and test reporting with clear communication of status, risks, and readiness.
