What you will do:

In France, UK, Spain & Italy, our Europe South (EUS) Division manages Volvo Group’s owned and leased properties. The EUS division’s portfolio includes factories, offices, warehouses, and dealerships. We support local business with investments, construction projects, and maintenance.

Lyon is our main site in the division, hosting various activities and most of Volvo Group’s business organizations. It has about 5,000 employees working across more than 500,000 sqm of buildings.

As Director for Lyon site

You will be an active business partner for the EUS division management team, contributing and collaborating across all aspects of the division. This is a leading leadership position, meaning you will manage the three Lyon site managers, including leading, developing, and supporting your team members, and driving continuous improvement.

The Lyon site comprises approximately 20 staff with diverse skills in real estate, including the three managers you will oversee.

You will report to the VP of the EUS division and be part of the EUS management team.

Your toolbox should include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
  • At least 10 years’ experience in real estate and facility management or equivalent
  • Proven leadership skills with successful leadership experience
  • Experience managing change and valuing innovation
  • Business acumen with results-oriented mindset, capable of working effectively in a global matrix organization with diverse stakeholders
  • Experience in Real Estate and Sustainability is a strong advantage

You are energetic, passionate about developing and influencing people, and capable of driving innovative, accountable teams. Flexibility, organization, sharp communication, and networking skills are essential. Most importantly, you are a team player with a strong team spirit.

Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written, are required to thrive in our global, diverse environment.
