Senior Director of Distribution and Supply Chain

Our client is a rapidly growing American clinical stage biotechnology company preparing to launch a ground-breaking rare disease drug in the European market. As part of their strategic expansion, they are seeking an experienced Senior Director of Distribution & Supply Chain to establish and manage their full supply chain infrastructure from the ground up.

Position Overview

This is a unique opportunity for a highly skilled supply chain and distribution leader to play a pivotal role in building the logistics and distribution framework for a high-impact biotech product. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in biotechnology or pharmaceutical supply chain setup, third-party logistics (3PL) management, and local distribution networks within the EU / UK. This is a remote-based role within the EU or UK, offering a 6-month contract with the potential for full-time employment based on performance.

Must Haves

• A Bachelor's degree in a science or health-related field is required; a higher degree is highly preferred.
• Extensive experience (10+ years) in supply chain, distribution, and logistics within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
• Proven track record of building a full supply chain from scratch for biotech / pharma products.
• Deep expertise in 3PL selection, negotiation, and management.
• Strong knowledge of local distribution models in the EU and UK.
• Familiarity with rare disease drug distribution challenges.
• In-depth understanding of GDP and EU regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
