Job summary

LEACH INTERNATIONAL EUROPE is seeking a visionary Director of Engineering – R&I to architect our technology roadmap and drive breakthrough concepts from idea to industrialization.

You will partner with R&D and business leadership to transform strategy into executable portfolios, strengthening our market leadership in demanding aerospace domains. You will lead a multidisciplinary team and shape a culture of excellence, safety, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Advanced engineering degree required.
• 10+ years leading R&I/Engineering in Aerospace/Defense/Railway.
• End-to-end program ownership and portfolio governance experience.
• Domain depth in certification ecosystems (EASA/FAA) and ARP4754A/DO-178C is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive R&I strategy and technology roadmap.
• Chair governance forums and balance value, risk, and resources.
• Identify partnerships, acquisitions, and co-development opportunities.
• Lead execution from feasibility to manufacturing handoff.
