Description du poste

Our client, a global leader in industrial manufacturing committed to sustainability and operational excellence, is seeking an Operations Director to lead and optimize all activities across production and supply chain functions at their Montbrison site. This strategic role reports to the Managing Director France and functionally to the Regional Operations Director for Europe & Africa.

This position is pivotal to ensuring operational efficiency, driving continuous improvement through Lean methodologies, and shaping the long-term growth of the site.

Key Responsibilities

Site Operations & Excellence

• Lead and coordinate all Production and Supply Chain operations at the site.
• Ensure day-to-day operations meet safety, environmental, and quality compliance standards.
• Drive resource optimization through planning, process improvements, and best practice implementation.

Financial & Performance Management

• Deliver against operational budgets, ensuring effective cost control and Capex execution.
• Define and track KPIs, analyze performance gaps, and initiate corrective actions.
• Act as a change agent promoting continuous improvement using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
• Create a culture of excellence in safety, quality, productivity, and sustainability.
• Lead and develop cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of engagement, performance, and accountability.
• Ensure clear communication of goals and provide consistent coaching and mentorship.

Strategic Site Development

• Shape the long-term vision of the site aligned with regional and global priorities.
• Balance immediate operational needs with long-term capability building.

Cross-Functional & Stakeholder Collaboration

• Act as the key liaison between the site and internal / regional / global stakeholders.
• Share insights, best practices, and maintain strong internal networks across the Group.

Your Profile

• Degree in Engineering OR equivalent operational experience.
• Broad operational knowledge across manufacturing, finance, EHS, and supply chain.

Experience

• Proven experience managing complex manufacturing operations in a leadership capacity.
• Demonstrated success in delivering cost savings, efficiency improvements, and safety excellence.
• Strong grasp of Lean tools (Lean, Six Sigma) and implementation experience.

Leadership & Skills

• Experienced people leader with a track record of team development and motivation.
• Effective communicator with strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.).

Languages

• Native or fluent French.
• Strong English communication skills (spoken and written).
