Job Description

The Director of Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) / Corporate Development will be responsible for leading and executing the company's M&A strategy, identifying and evaluating potential acquisition targets, and managing the end-to-end M&A process. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong financial acumen, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across various departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design the roadmap: Buy vs. Build
  • Develop and Execute M&A Strategy: Formulate and implement the company's M&A strategy in alignment with corporate goals and objectives.
  • Identify Acquisition Targets: Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential acquisition targets that align with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Financial Analysis and Valuation: Perform detailed financial analysis, valuation, and due diligence on potential acquisition targets.
  • Negotiation and Deal Structuring: Lead negotiations and structure deals to ensure favorable terms and conditions for the company.
  • Integration Planning: Develop and execute integration plans to ensure smooth transitions and maximize synergies post-acquisition.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, legal, finance, and external advisors, to ensure successful deal execution.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with M&A transactions.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and present detailed reports and documentation to senior management and the board of directors.

Qualifications

Qualifications we’re looking for.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in M&A, corporate development.

  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and deal-making abilities.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and executing M&A transactions.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
