About this Role

The Interior Design Director is a senior creative authority responsible for the aesthetic vision and design integrity of luxury hospitality projects. This role is designed for a subject matter expert with deep industry experience in high-end hotel design. Rather than focusing on administrative team management, you will lead through design mastery, technical excellence, and strategic creative input.

Scope of Responsibilities
  • Provide the primary creative direction for all high-end hotel projects, ensuring the vision aligns with luxury brand standards and guest experience goals.
  • Lead the development of sophisticated design concepts, bespoke presentations, and creative strategies tailored specifically to the hospitality sector.
  • Partner with internal teams, specialized consultants (lighting, MEP, etc.), and hotel owners/operators to maintain project excellence.
  • Ensure all design output reinforces the firm’s reputation for luxury and supports the broader marketing and brand initiatives.
  • Act as a creative mentor for the design team, sharing technical knowledge of hotel specifications, luxury finishes, and operational flow.
  • Lead design-focused client interactions, resolving complex creative challenges and coordinating progress with owners and operators.
  • Represent the firm’s hospitality portfolio and expertise to visitors, potential partners, and industry bodies.
  • Provide specialized creative input and strategic insights to support the acquisition of new high-end hotel and hospitality contracts.
  • Assist in luxury-tier client introductions, serving as the technical and creative face of the firm's hotel design capabilities.
  • Collaborate with the Business Development and Design teams to ensure deliverables meet hospitality-specific fee structures and timelines.
  • Balance high-concept creative integrity with the operational efficiency and client satisfaction required in high-end hotel development.

  • Exceptional presentation skills and the ability to influence project outcomes through seniority and design authority.
