Job Description

Fairmont Olympic Hotel is seeking a results-driven Director of Group Sales who will be accountable for booking profitable group business from key accounts, key prospects, and other active accounts in the Pacific Northwest. If you have a proven track record in sales leadership, exceptional communication skills, and a strategic mindset, this is a unique opportunity to elevate your career and make a significant impact!

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and inspire the sales team to achieve revenue targets, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
  2. Exceed personal sales goals, monthly, quarterly, and annually, through account development and maintenance.
  3. Schedule effective sales calls and appointments within assigned markets, participate in prescribed training and special projects, assist in the development and training of the sales coordinator, collect market and competitive intelligence to assess and implement strategy and long-term goals.
  4. Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive business growth, including market segmentation, pricing strategies, and client acquisition.
  5. Develop lead sources and build rapport with key personnel at Convention and Visitors Bureaus, Industry Partners, and Fairmont Global Sales Offices.
  6. Maintain active membership in industry-related organizations and associations pertinent to the specific market.
  7. Manage all online distribution channels to maximize opportunities.
  8. Prepare and present regular sales reports and forecasts to senior management.
  9. Monitor and evaluate the competition and adapt strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
  10. Foster a culture of exceptional service and guest satisfaction within the sales team.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in organizational planning, implementation, and the ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Minimum of three years of hotel sales management experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or Hotel Management Degree preferred.
  • Results-oriented with flexibility.
  • Ability to understand and interpret financial data.
  • Positive attitude with a supportive, team-based approach towards the hotel's goals.
  • Ability to travel and work flexible hours and days.

Visa Requirements: Must be able to provide or obtain authorization to work in the United States.
