A Director of Finance will lead the Finance department and associated operations to optimize the hotel’s profitability through effective account management, reporting, and vendor relations.

What will you be doing?

Specifically, you will be responsible for:

1. Ensuring that Finance teams provide month-end closing and all required management reports;
2. Collaborating with Finance Managers, General Manager, and Hotel Manager to develop accurate forecasting and budgeting proposals;
3. Preparing capital reviews as needed by the General/Hotel Manager and Finance Departments;
4. Developing and reviewing best practice financial accounting and control procedures to maximize impact and efficiency;
5. Ensuring that balance sheets accurately reflect the assets and liabilities of the hotels;
6. Leading monthly finance update meetings with the General Manager and hotel team;
7. Ensuring compliance with Hilton policies and procedures, maximizing performance on the Finance Balanced Scorecard;
8. Reviewing balance sheets regularly, performing reconciliations of all cluster hotels-controlled accounts, and explaining all balances;
9. Assisting department heads in improving financial awareness and providing relevant financial information;
10. Serving your role and team in an environmentally-conscious manner;
11. Leading team development initiatives, including mentoring junior staff and professional development programs;
12. Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, and managing financial risks;
13. Communicating effectively with stakeholders, including investors, auditors, and external parties;
14. Contributing to strategic financial planning and long-term strategies;
15. Implementing and overseeing sustainability initiatives and goals.
