Job Title: Business Development Director – Europe

Location: Europe - close proximity to International airport would be advantageous. Northern France or central-western part of Germany would be preferential.

Role Overview

As Business Development Director, you will provide strategic leadership to a high-performing team of Business Development Managers. The team’s mission is to engage directly with end customers in key verticals including retail, hospitality, commercial real estate, healthcare, and education. Your role will be to set direction, drive customer engagement, and ensure the team secures new business opportunities that support the company’s ambitious growth plans across Europe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a European team of Business Development Managers to achieve growth targets.
  • Define and implement strategies to access and win new customers across retail, hospitality, hospitals, schools, and large commercial/public buildings.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key end customers, acting as an executive-level contact when required.
  • Work in close collaboration with senior leadership, sales, product management, and marketing to align business development activities with company objectives.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to shape strategy and support product innovation.
  • Represent the company at high-level industry events, forums, and networking opportunities.
  • Ensure best practices are shared across the team and that a culture of excellence, innovation, and customer focus is maintained.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in a senior business development, sales leadership, or commercial director role within HVAC, building technologies, or related industries.
  • Strong track record of leading and motivating multi-country or pan-European teams.
  • Deep understanding of end customer engagement in sectors such as retail, hospitality, healthcare, and education.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate company vision into actionable business development plans.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across Europe.
  • Fluency in English is required; additional European languages are highly advantageous.
