Overview

Director of Business Development - DefenseTech - Europe (Remote). Darwin Recruitment has partnered with an ambitious Unmanned AI & Software Technology startup that recently secured Series A funding and is scaling internationally.

The role focuses on growing revenue into the tens of millions across Europe, Asia and the Middle East through leadership in business development and go-to-market strategy.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and execution of the European, Asian and Middle Eastern GTM strategy for a high-growth defense technology startup.
  • Open new markets, build and scale sales units, and contribute as an individual contributor to drive revenue growth.
  • Manage relationships with key defense procurement stakeholders across EU, UK, Asia and the Middle East; leverage a strong network within MoD, UAV manufacturers and defense primes.
  • Provide leadership to high-performance sales teams and shape revenue-generation initiatives.
Experience / Qualifications
  • Proven track record of selling high-tech solutions within the Defense industry as an individual contributor.
  • Hunter mentality with experience opening new markets and scaling sales teams from scratch.
  • Strong understanding of defense procurement processes across the EU, UK, Asia and/or Middle East.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay circa €100,000-€150,000 (depends on location and experience) + commissions + stocks. Remote work across Europe with usual international travel expected.
