Thinkproject is seeking a Director to launch and lead a new AI-driven digitisation practice for enterprise construction clients. You will define the operating model, partner with two AI Architects, and own relationships that generate repeat engagements.

You will oversee end-to-end engagements, from problem framing to solution delivery and value realization, in a lean, high-autonomy environment. You will work with Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or equivalent in practical AI-enabled

What your day will look like

Thinkproject has built one of Europe\'s most extensive software portfolios for managing complex construction projects — covering information management, document control, and asset lifecycle workflows across infrastructure, energy, and real estate.

The next phase is AI. We are standing up a new internal unit that will bring AI-powered analysis, decision support, and automation directly into how construction enterprises plan, deliver, and operate their assets.

This Director is the founding lead. You will define what the unit does, deliver with two AI Architects whoshare your objectives, and build the client relationships that make this practice self-sustaining. This is nota role for someone who joins a machine — it is a role for someone who builds one.

What you\'ll own

Practice building

Stand up the operating model, methodology, and delivery standards for Thinkproject\'s AI-driven digitisation practice — from the first engagement through to a repeatable approach. This is a 0-to-1 mandate: you have done this before and you know what it takes

Client relationships

• Build and own trusted relationships with enterprise construction clients at C-suite level — the kind that survive a difficult project and generate the next one
• Lead engagements end-to-end: problem definition, solution oversight, delivery, and value

• Be the person clients call when they have a problem that isn\'t fully formed yet

Navigating ambiguity

Translate unstructured, ambiguous client challenges into structured AI or data-driven solutions - without waiting for a clean brief

Influence decisions across client and internal stakeholder groups without formal authority; get things done through credibility, not hierarchy

Working with technical teams

Partner closely with two AI Architects who share your objectives — no direct line management, butfull accountability for collective output

Bridge the gap between client intent and technical delivery: ensure what gets built is what clientsactually need, and that it lands in practice

AI delivery (hands-on)

Personally operate in AI-assisted workflows using Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or
equivalent — not as a novelty, but as a working practice

Oversee the design and deployment of AI solutions from scoping through to production adoption

What you need to fulfill the role

What success looks like
Month 6: First client engagements live; at least one AI solution in active use with a paying client; workingmethodology documented and replicable by the team
Month 12: Practice has a repeatable delivery model; pipeline is growing through referrals; you haveidentified the next capability bets and have the client relationships to validate them

What you bring

Proven consulting background — has built or co-built a practice, business unit, or service line from scratch; not just delivered within an established one
Track record of trusted, long-term client relationships at senior level — clients who call you first,not last
Demonstrated ability to operate in ambiguous, unstructured environments and drive outcomes
without a playbook
Strong influence skills — can align technical teams, client stakeholders, and internal leadershipwithout relying on formal authority
Hands-on AI tool experience in a real work context: Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or
equivalent — used to build, analyse, or iterate; not just cited on a CV
Comfortable in a lean, high-ownership founding environment — two peers, no direct reports, highautonomy
Fluent English; French and/or German a meaningful advantage for client engagement across ourcore markets

Strong plus

• Background in construction, infrastructure, engineering, or AEC software
• Familiarity with BIM, digital twins, or asset lifecycle management concepts
• Commercial ownership experience — pipeline development, pricing, delivery P&L
• 7–10 years of experience in management consulting, digital strategy, or innovation leadership

You and two AI Architects — direct access to Thinkproject\'s product, engineering, and go-to-marketcapabilities. This role sits within the Sales organisation and reports directly to the CRO. High visibility.
