About the role

Reporting to the Cluster Managing Director, the Site Manager role will have responsibility for the safe and efficient operations of a sheet plant within a cluster structure, following industry and the Company’s standards to deliver required customer service levels.

A core part of the role will be to promote the necessary cross-site and cross-function collaboration to achieve exceptional cluster performance.

Your remit will include but not limited to:

  1. P&L local responsibility (contributing to the Cluster’s performance)
  2. Deployment and adaptation of the Cluster strategic plan according to local context
  3. Health and Safety
  4. Operational efficiency
  5. Employee Engagement and working culture
  6. Effective Team leadership and development through coaching and talent management
  7. Adoption and compliance with internal and external standards
  8. Quality Assurance
  9. Continuous improvement
  10. Participation in Supply Chain optimisation activity within the cluster
  11. Ensure implementation of all applicable Company’s Standards
  12. Ambassador and senior representative of the Company within the local community
  13. Customer management: developing trustful relationship with key customers, delivering the best services according to their needs and ensuring the best customer experience
  14. Takes general legal responsibility for the site based on local regulatory requirements

About you

Minimum qualifications:

  • Higher degree in production engineering + significant experience

Desirable profile:

  • Strong general management skills and maturity to be the recognised as a leader of both direct employees and co-located departments
  • A solid technical career background and experience managing shop floor manufacturing operations, quality standards and asset maintenance, complemented by commercial sensitivity
  • Ability to drive vision and strategy
  • External outlook - Ability to interpret and work with the wider strategic agenda, within the division and Cluster
  • Maturity to recognise and operate comfortably within a matrix environment and sometimes competing priorities while remaining focused on core KPIs

Technical profile:

  • Technical competence in Machine Operations, production planning, maintenance Quality, Logistics and Continuous Improvement in a production environment
  • Ability to interpret KPI trends, initiate and support any necessary analysis to determine improvement opportunities and drive performance
  • English: read, written and spoken
