Gloria Maris Group in Hauts-de-France seeks a Business Unit Director to lead two marine hatchery sites (about 50 staff) and drive the unit’s financial and operational performance from strategy to execution.
You will spearhead a multi-million-euro modernization and extension program, coordinate internal teams and external partners, and push the Group’s development through strategic partnerships and international initiatives.
Permanent contract (CDI) – Hauts-de-France (Dunkirk area)
Founded in Corsica nearly 40 years ago, GLORIA MARIS GROUP is one of Europe’s leading premium marine aquaculture companies. With nearly 200 employees, the Group controls the entire value chain, from genetic selection and fry production through to the farming and marketing of exceptional fish: sea bream, sea bass, meagre and more.
Recognized for its expertise, innovation and the excellence of its products, notably organic and Label Rouge, the Group continues to grow in France and internationally.
Gloria Maris Group is now entering a new stage of its industrial development with a strong ambition: to modernize its production facilities and double the capacity of its Gravelines site, in order to support its growth and strengthen its long-term competitiveness.
Reporting to the Group’s General Management and sitting on the Executive Committee, you will take charge of two marine hatchery sites representing nearly 50 employees.
As a true Business Unit Director, you will drive the overall performance of this strategic activity: financial results, operational excellence, team management and business development.
A particularly stimulating aspect of the role: you will be responsible, end to end, for a major investment, modernization and extension program worth several million euros, with the goal of doubling the production capacity of the Gravelines site.
From defining requirements to commissioning the facilities, you will lead the whole project: design, technical and industrial choices, budgets, scheduling, coordination of stakeholders and ramp-up of the production facility.
You will thus combine operational responsibility, financial management, people management and leadership of an industrial project that is pivotal to the Group’s future.
You will also contribute to the development strategy of the hatchery sector, notably by seeking out and negotiating strategic partnerships internationally.
An opportunity to take the helm of a strategic business and leave a lasting mark by leading its industrial transformation.
You have proven experience in managing a Business Unit, an industrial site or an operational activity, ideally in a multi-site environment.
Above all, you have demonstrated your ability to lead large-scale industrial projects, such as capacity extensions, facility modernizations or significant investments, from design through to commissioning.
You master the financial management of a profit center and know how to combine operational performance, cost control, investment and long-term development.
Your background may come from various industrial sectors, notably:
Knowledge of marine aquaculture is not essential. What will be decisive is your ability to quickly grasp the technical and biological specifics of the business, to engage with experts and to make informed decisions.
Beyond your expertise, you stand out through:
Have you already led ambitious industrial projects and now want to combine operational leadership, strategic investment and business development?
Join Gloria Maris Group and take the helm of a major industrial transformation project serving the marine aquaculture of tomorrow.
