Greenvolt Next France is seeking a Strategic Development Director to define and execute the French commercial strategy, ensuring sustainable growth, profitability, and optimal market positioning.

This role leads the overall commercial organization in France, including direct leadership of the Head of Commercial, oversight of sales operations, business development, external partnerships, and key strategic accounts in alignment with corporate objectives.

Qualifications

  • Requires degree in business-related field and 20+ years of experience in commercial strategy or sales leadership.
  • Experience defining and executing commercial strategies at national/regional level.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop commercial teams including senior stakeholders.

Responsabilités

  • Defines the commercial strategy for the French market and ensures alignment with global objectives.
  • Leads and develops the Head of Commercial and oversees sales operations, business development, and partnerships.
  • Oversees national sales structure, pipeline management, and partner management for high performance.
  • Establishes KPIs, forecasts, budgets and drives corrective actions as needed.
  • Leads growth of external partner networks and negotiates major accounts and long-term deals.
  • Represents the company at senior levels with clients, regulators, and industry groups.
  • Supports major proposals ensuring technical, financial, and strategic coherence.

  • Leads, coaches, and develops the Head of Commercial, providing strategic guidance, setting direction, and ensuring high performance across the commercial organization.
  • Oversees the national sales structure, ensuring robust processes, high-quality execution, and continuous improvement across sales, pipeline management, and partner management.
  • Establishes and monitors strategic KPIs, ensuring commercial performance, forecasting accuracy, and budget compliance, and driving corrective actions when required.
  • Leads the growth strategy for external partner networks in France, ensuring scalability, sustainability, and performance of commercial partnerships.
  • Directly oversees major and strategic accounts, conducting high‑stakes negotiations, managing executive relationships, and securing long‑term commercial agreements.
  • Represents the company at a senior level in France with clients, regulators, industry associations, and high‑level stakeholders, positioning the company as a market leader.
  • Supports and validates major commercial proposals, ensuring technical, financial, and strategic coherence; provides final approval for complex or high‑value deals.
  • Leads market intelligence and competitive analysis, identifying trends, risks, and new business opportunities to guide commercial decision‑making.
  • Collaborates with senior management, including the General Manager and corporate leadership, contributing to strategic planning, budgeting, and cross‑functional initiatives.

Requirements
  • Degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Energy or a related field.
  • Minimum 20 years of experience in commercial strategy, business development or sales leadership, preferably in renewable energy, utilities or B2B services.
  • Proven experience in defining and executing commercial strategies at national or regional level.
  • Experience in leading and developing commercial teams, including senior stakeholders.
  • Background in key account management and complex commercial negotiations.
  • Experience working with commercial partners and external networks.
  • Good understanding of decentralized energy solutions or similar B2B technical offerings.
  • Strong skills in commercial performance management, KPIs and forecasting.
  • Strategic, results‑driven mindset with strong negotiation and decision‑making skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Fluency in French and English (written and spoken).
