DevOps Database Administrator

Job Title : DevOps Database Administrator

Work form : Remote

On-boarding : First day onsite for onboarding in Leiria.

Start : ASAP

Requirements :

1. 2+ years in Kafka administration.
2. 3+ years in DevOps.
3. Basic knowledge in SQL language and performance tuning.
4. Experience with broad landscape of data engines with resilience and high availability.
5. Able to work with autonomy, proactivity, leadership, ownership, coordination, and continuous improvement.
6. Good presentation with excellent communication skills (written, listening, and speaking), culture centered attitude, teamwork and highly motivated.

Responsibilities :

1. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, developers, architects, and managers from different locations and ensure timely deliverables.
2. Implementation of DevOps practices and principles with focus on Infrastructure as a Code, Automation and Scalability.
3. Installation, configuration, and maintenance of real-time data streaming solutions using Kafka and other Data solutions (e.g. Data Transformation / ETL).
4. Orchestrate systems with high focus on resilience and high availability of the systems.
5. Evaluate and implement data technologies, tools, and utilities.
6. Analysis of resource usage, growth patterns, and capacity planning for infrastructure.
7. Ensure the level 2 and if applicable level 3 support for changes, requests and incidents in production environments and provide adequate response with possibility to participate in the on-call 24 / 7 support.
