Job summary

The Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) offers a 6-month internship in its Loans & Social Development Directorate (L&D) in Paris. You will work under a Country Manager, contributing to project identification and appraisal, and prepare draft Framework Loan Agreements reflecting approved terms.

Ideal candidates are recent graduates or final-year students in economics, finance, management or related fields, with strong analytical skills and a global, multicultural outlook.

Qualifications

• Graduate within the past 24 months or currently in the final academic year; a master’s level is ideal.
• Studies in economics, finance, management, business administration or social sciences.
• Excellent command of English or French; working knowledge of the other language desirable.
• Strong analytical capacity and international awareness; ability to work in a multicultural environment.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to advancing financing projects through the project cycle (Identification and Appraisal) and drafting/coordination of Framework Loan Agreements reflecting approved terms.
• Provide analytical support regarding planning and communication within the Projects Division.
• Carry out research on project-related topics relevant to the L&D Directorate.
• Stay abreast of work of other international organisations on relevant topics.
• Draft input material for presentations and reports; provide ad hoc support as needed.
