VBS is seeking a Developer based in Bettembourg to develop backend solutions that transform data into customized communications across multiple delivery channels.

You will be involved in and actively participate in the full project cycle: analysis, testing, validation, and deployment.

Within the IT Development team, you will collaborate with project stakeholders, sharing your insights and expertise. Our projects range from daily requests to innovative technical solutions.

Your role will include staying updated with solution evolutions and leading their upgrades, enhancements, and maintenance. Ownership is key!

You will report to the Head of IT Development and the IT Development Supervisor.

Your responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing business requirements for internal and external projects;
• Maintaining applications in production;
• Identifying technical and operational improvements and tracking issues;
• Participating in incident investigations and resolutions;
• Escalating issues and assisting colleagues;
• Contributing to the knowledge database, documentation, and operational procedures;
• Testing your developments and reviewing deliverables;
• Providing time estimates for projects;
• Reviewing functional requirements and specifications;
• Collaborating with internal teams to ensure project progress;
• Working with suppliers' technical support as needed.

Your profile:

• A Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent;
• At least 3 years of experience in IT Development or similar;
• Proficiency in English; French is a plus;
• Knowledge of development stacks:
• Proficient in Perl;
• Knowledge of Shell scripting and Unix environments;
• Experience with Git;
• Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD;
• Knowledge of print stream formats like AFP, PostScript, or PCL, and print management software is a strong asset;
• Experience with Docbridge Software is a plus;
• Experience with OCR/ICR software and document workflows is a plus;
• Autonomous, proactive, and team-oriented;
• Analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Ability to prioritize in high-pressure environments.
