Nexans in Paris-La Défense is looking for a Technical Drawing Specialist in Land Engineering. You will develop and update technical drawings for land engineering projects and deliver drawings to engineers daily, reporting to the Manager of Land Engineering.

The role requires expert AutoCad skills, 5+ years in technical drawing, strong communication, and the ability to work across departments while maintaining quality and standards.

Responsabilités

Role Description

Role: Technical Drawing Specialist, Land Engineering

Organization

• Function: SLS, Installation Department, 778 Land Engineering
• Country: Paris
• Location: Paris- La Défense
• Supervisor: Manager, Land Engineering

Context

• Technical Drawing Specialist is a role within the Land Engineering department
• The department is responsible for ensuring the performance of all necessary activities related to the activities and projects within the Land installation department (documentation, planning, procurement and follow up)
• Office location is Paris

Purpose

• Develop and update technical drawings for land engineering projects.

• Reporting to Manager Land Enginering, delivering drawings to the department engineers on daily basis

Areas of responsibility

The primary work task are, but not limited to:

Project work:

• Develop technical drawings, based on input from engineers.
• Take ownership to the projects scope and issues and contribute in development of the drawings
• Archive project documentation in cooperation with document controller or engineer
• Produce as-built documentation
• Participate i DIC og IDC proceses

Leadership

• Clearly define the work tasks with stakeholders
• Clarify excpectations with the stakeholders
• Maintain an active dialouge with other departments
• Aim for mutual trust and including attitude
• Be open to suggestions and respecting others opinions
• Give constructive feedback
• Distribute relevant information within the project teams, the department and to relevant stakeholders
• Promote Nexans og Land installation. Do not spread negativity

System og maintenance

• Maintain the departments drawing archive
• Ensure that the department has access to printes drawings, on request

Planning

• Activly seek information on the need for drawing support within the departments projects through continous dialogue
• Provide input to drawings in projects Master Document Register based on standard MRD
• Stay updated on the overall project plan

Resource planning

• Independent monitoring of work load. Keep open dialouge with manager with respect to to too high or low workload.
• Activly seek to relieve others of work load in periods of spare capacity. Seek to be relieved in periods of too high work load.
• Contribute with drawing expertise/capacity to Tender department (and other departments) on request, if sufficient capacity.
