About the job:

We are currently looking for a Civil Engineering Draughtsman to join our team based in Lyon, France.

Duties and responsibilities

Assigned to a project team, you will report functionally to the Service Manager and operationally to the Business Manager and Project Group Leader.

• Modelling in 3D using COVADIS and/or REVIT software the various structures and VRD elements
  → Topography, earthworks, cut and fill, underpinning
  → Roads, accesses, ramps, ditches
  → Gravity networks, pressurised networks, dry networks
  → Gutters, paving, retaining walls
  → Pits and basins
• Produce the engineering guide drawings and associated quantities for the structures required for the various phases of a project to enable specialist design offices and contractors to produce the execution drawings relating to their speciality,
• Read technical specifications and calculation notes to extract the data and constraints relating to the structures to be incorporated into the design
• Read the plans of other specialities and extract the interface elements in relation to the civil engineering works
• Working with the VRD Group Manager and/or the VRD referent to develop constructive solutions relating to interfaces,
• Identify interferences and propose a solution in consultation with the other disciplines,
• Propose technical, economic and environmental solutions,
• Provide technical assistance to site supervision teams

About you:

You have 2 or 3 years' higher education (BTS Travaux Publics, BUT Génie Civil or equivalent) and initial experience in a design office in an equivalent position,

You have a good command of COVADIS software and knowledge of REVIT is a plus.

You have a good command of technical English. You are independent, dynamic and enjoy working in a team.
