Design Engineer

Based in Grenoble and Dunkirk (France), we have recently started operations at our Verkor Innovation Centre (R&D centre and 4.0 pilot line).

We now focus on building the world’s most modern and efficient Gigafactory in Dunkirk (France). With this facility, our ambition is an initial annual production of 16 GWh of lithium-ion batteries by 2025, thus powering 300,000 electric vehicles annually.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize and follow up with the team’s validation objectives to reach product maturity.
• Data analysis.
• Find solutions and recommendations based on test data.
• Communication and clarification of customer’s technical requirements.
• Develop test methods and good practices regarding testing.
• Interface with the test team.
• Develop internal standards and database for outsourcing suppliers.
• Optimization of test matrix.
• Coordination of testing demands with production/operations.

Prerequisites:

• Strong data analysis skills.
• Experience with validation or test planning (preferred but not essential).
• Strong sense of independence.
• Great communication skills.
• Understanding of mechanical concepts.

• Battery knowledge.
