We are working with an established semiconductor company seeking a Design Centre Manager to lead its experienced European engineering team based in Munich. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to combine hands-on technical leadership with strategic management responsibilities, delivering next-generation RF and mmWave semiconductor products for global markets.

The Opportunity:

As Design Centre Manager, you will oversee all aspects of engineering operations, from technical project leadership through to team management and strategic growth. Working closely with global senior leadership, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality, innovative MMIC and RF solutions, while also shaping the future direction of the design centre.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and mentorship to a multidisciplinary RF/MMIC design team.
• Drive technical project delivery, ensuring milestones are met across design, verification, and validation.
• Define development roadmaps in collaboration with global R&D and product management teams.
• Act as the technical authority for complex MMIC and high-frequency system developments.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and growth of the local engineering team.
• Manage budgets, resources, and operational efficiency for the design centre.

Ideal Profile:

• Strong technical background in RF, mmWave, and/or MMIC design, ideally with hands-on experience up to V-/E-band.
• Proven leadership experience in a technical management or design centre management role.
• Solid understanding of GaN and GaAs technologies and high-frequency system integration.
• Ability to balance hands-on technical involvement with operational and strategic leadership.
• MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or a related field.
• Excellent communication skills in English; German proficiency is an advantage but not required.
