Job summary

Philips in Paris is seeking a Software Design Assurance Quality Engineer to help bring AI-enabled healthcare software to patients safely by embedding quality, risk management and design controls throughout development.

You will partner with software engineering teams from early design stages to review requirements, drive risk management and ensure design-development and change-control processes are followed.

Qualifications

• Engineering or similar higher-education qualification in software engineering
• 2+ years in software development or software quality / design assurance in a regulated environment
• Strong AI understanding to challenge development teams
• Professional English; French proficiency is a plus

Responsibilities

• Partner with software engineering teams from earliest design stages to review requirements, drive risk management and ensure design-development and change-control processes are followed
• Review design documentation, test procedures, performance evidence, complaints, non-conformances and post-market information with engineering, regulatory and medical safety to identify gaps and drive corrective action
• Join an international quality team and work with a Paris-based colleague to develop medical-device design controls and Philips processes
• Build broad expertise across regulated software, patient safety, AI-related risk, post-market quality and cross-functional product development
