A diplomatic service in Paris is seeking a Deputy Residence Manager to oversee high-level events and manage guest relations. The ideal candidate will have strong event management skills, be bilingual in English and French, and possess exceptional organisational abilities. The Deputy Residence Manager plays a pivotal role in the successful delivery of approximately 500 high-level events annually at the Ambassador’s Residence, welcoming over 18,000 guests. Reporting to the Residence Manager and working in close coordination with the Public Diplomacy team and the Private Office, the Deputy is responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of all Residence events. This includes official functions hosted by the Ambassador, Embassy-wide engagements, and externally sponsored events that promote British interests. The role also includes line management of the Residence Events Officer, ensuring that all events are delivered with precision, professionalism, and in alignment with the UK’s diplomatic objectives.

This is a full-time, permanent position, of 35 working hours per week.
