Venture Search is seeking an Associate for a leading pan-European debt advisory firm based in Paris. You will advise financial sponsors and corporates on primary financings, refinancing, restructurings, and strategic financing reviews.

Working in small deal teams, you will gain exposure to a broad range of debt products and participate in the full transaction lifecycle from origination through execution, with strong senior support and early client exposure.

Responsabilités

• Support a range of debt advisory mandates with clients, banks, debt funds and lawyers.
• Build and review financial models to assess structures and debt capacity.
• Prepare Teasers, management presentations and financing-option analyses.
• Participate in all stages of the financing process with sponsors and management.
• Liaise with banks and private credit funds to secure financing packages.
• Conduct credit analysis and review due-diligence materials.
• Undertake market and transaction research.
• Support and oversee junior team members.

Our client is a leading pan-European independent debt advisory firm with offices across several major European financial centres. The business specialises exclusively in leveraged, corporate and fund finance, advising financial sponsors and corporates on transactions across multiple sectors and jurisdictions.

The firm is recognised for its hands-on, highly technical approach and has an established track record of executing both mid-market and large-cap financings.

Purpose of This Role

The Associate will advise financial sponsors and leveraged corporates on primary financings, refinancing, restructurings and strategic financing reviews.

The role provides exposure to a broad range of debt products, including bank loans, unitranche facilities, bonds, subordinated instruments, IPO financings, asset-backed financings and venture debt.

Working within small deal teams, the successful candidate will be involved throughout the full transaction lifecycle, from origination through to execution. The position offers strong deal flow, early client exposure and close support from experienced senior professionals.

Responsibilities

• Supporting a range of debt advisory mandates involving regular interaction with clients, banks, debt funds, lawyers and other advisers
• Building and reviewing financial models to assess transaction structures and determine appropriate debt capacity
• Preparing transaction materials, including teasers, management presentations and financing-option analyses
• Participating in all stages of the financing process, including discussions with financial sponsors, management teams and C-suite executives
• Liaising with banks and private-credit funds to secure competitive financing packages
• Conducting credit analysis and reviewing due-diligence materials
• Undertaking market and comparable-transaction research
• Supporting and overseeing junior team members, including analysts and interns

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in leveraged finance, debt advisory, lending, accounting or corporate finance, ideally within a leading bank or advisory firm
• Strong financial-modelling and model-design capabilities
• Sound commercial judgement and an understanding of financing terms and credit risk
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong presentation and stakeholder-management capabilities
• Ability to manage several workstreams in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
• Highly organised, intellectually curious and proactive
• Excellent attention to detail
• Collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively within a team
• Experience managing or supporting junior team members
• Advanced PowerPoint, Excel and Word skills
• Fluent written and spoken English and French Required
