Job summary

Scaleway in Paris is seeking a Datacenter IT Technician to maintain and repair IT hardware in high-density datacenter environments. You will assemble racks, test fiber and copper cabling, and resolve hardware issues while ensuring compliance and reliability.

You will work on-site with a small team across Saint-Ouen-l’Aumône and Vitry-sur-Seine clusters, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams, using Jira Service Management, Odoo and Google Sheets to track assets and tickets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on IT hardware maintenance, hardware support, or datacenter technician roles.
• Proven expertise in IT hardware troubleshooting, hardware assembly, diagnostics, and cabling (copper and optical fiber testing, reflectometer, optical tracer).
• Comfortable using Jira Service Management, Odoo, and Google Sheets.

Responsibilities

• Hardware maintenance, assembly, and rack/configuration of servers within datacenter spaces.
• Diagnostics, troubleshooting, component replacement, and fiber/copper testing using optical tracers and reflectometers.
• On-site coordination and escorting external subcontractors and suppliers.
