Job Title : DevOps Contractor (On-Prem)

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer with experience working in on-premises environments. The ideal candidate will have a background in supporting software development for hardware-focused organisations. This role will involve optimising CI / CD pipelines, supporting high-performance computing (HPC) environments, and deploying containerised solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop and maintain CI / CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and GitLab.
• Support and enhance grid computing and HPC environments for hardware or system-level projects.
• Implement and manage containerisation solutions using Kubernetes and OpenShift.
• Write and maintain automation scripts in Python and Bash.
• Collaborate with development teams to streamline build, test, and deployment processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in complex software and hardware integration environments.

Skills and Qualifications :

• Strong experience with Jenkins and GitLab for CI / CD workflows.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting for automation.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and OpenShift.
• Familiarity with grid computing and high-performance computing (HPC) infrastructure.
• Background in hardware-based development environments.
• Solid understanding of version control systems, branching strategies, and release management.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred :

• Knowledge of hardware development lifecycles and their integration with software tools.
• Experience working in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment.
