Job summary

Shift Technology in France seeks a Data Scientist Intern to contribute to fraud detection, NLP, and product innovation. You will deploy data pipelines, calibrate models, and work with clients to tailor AI solutions.

You will join the Data Science Team, collaborating with product, engineering and sales, starting around February/March 2027 for 6 months. A hybrid work model is available.

Qualifications

• You are a master's degree student in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, ML or Big Data.
• You can provide an internship agreement (Convention de stage) for 6 months signed by your school.
• You have experience in object-oriented programming (OOP).
• You are comfortable dealing with clients.
• French is mandatory and English is also required.
• You can start your internship around February/March 2027 for 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Setting up and deploying data processing pipelines (batch/real-time), data cleaning, information extraction, and calibration of fraud detection models.
• Collaborating with clients to understand their needs and incorporate feedback.
• Conducting R&D to drive product innovation (ML, NLP, image analysis, trend analysis, chatbots).
• Supporting the sales team by participating in prospect demos.
• Partnering in the full Data Science product lifecycle across teams to deliver AI solutions.
